While Daddy's been away...

Scott has been away again and the boys and I have been staying super busy. Cohen has become more adventurous by the day and so that in itself is keeping me on my toes. Bryton is loving being outside and doing "yard work" on the pretty days. I have been crafting and getting ready for Bryton's birthday party and the squadron Easter party...fun stuff!
Scott returns tonight and we couldn't be more thrilled!

Cohen has discovered every single cabinet, drawer, nook and cranny that can be emptied in the last week. I have had to reorganize quite a bit to keep his little hands off of things. As you can see, he is always very proud of what he has accomplished :)

We made rainbows out of fruit loops for St. Patrick's Day. We also made rainbow cookies for our friends! The sneaky leprechaun snuck in our house and turned our pancakes and potty water green. Bryton left him cookies by the door in case he was hungry if/when he came back. Maybe next year we will catch him ;)

Another new trick of Cohen's! He empties drawers and climbs into them. I have caught him attempting to do multiple drawers in the hopes that he'll make it onto the counter....what am I going to do with this crazy boy?!?

Bryton painted his first canvas painting the other day while I worked on a project. He was so meticulous in how he did it and did a great job.

The slide has made its way out of the living room and into the backyard because of Cohen's new love of climbing. I would turn around and he would be 3 steps up not knowing what to do next, except fall backwards. Bryton has loved having it in the backyard to play on!

Cohen has a new sound this week which is super exciting! He is using the "N" sound now. Pointing at things is also a new trick of the week....now instead of screaming at the things he wants, he points and screams :)

Bryton and I tried out a new idea of mixing colors using milk. Of course I found the idea online and he loved it. It was fun to watch the colors all swirl together. Then he painted a piece of bread with the colors that he made....he was fascinated!

Last night, I went to the Officers' Spouses Club annual Auction fundraiser. It is a huge event and always raises a lot of money to go towards scholarships for military dependents and spouses. This year was a Masquerade theme and it was so much fun! We all wore different masks, bid on lots of fun things and had a great girls night out!

This morning we were getting the house all fixed up for Scott's arrival tonight. Of course, Bryton said he would take care of vacuuming the stairs (I know you all are shocked!) and Cohen was right there to watch :)

Tubes and such

Cohen and Daddy hanging out after surgery. Cohen bounced right back and was acting like himself in no time. He took a long nap and was good to go! We have already seen signs that the tubes are doing their job, yay!

Bryton came out of surgery looking for that popsicle the nurse had promised him. He was back to normal and ready to go to preschool within the hour. He finally agreed to a lazy day at home. No complaints of ear aches since surgery, that's progress!

Scott went on a guy's trip over the weekend and so the boys and I had our own fun. We went and got a building kit for Bryton. He made his very own school bus and was super proud about it. He loved having his own hammer and safetly glasses!

You know your brother loves you when he shares his red popsicle with you.
Watching them together is the best thing ever...most of the time :)

Bryton is still doing gymnastics every week. He loves flipping over the bars and swinging from the rings.

Busy busy busy

Bryton had been SO excited his Daddy was coming back from his trip! They had been talking about camping when he got home and Scott set up the tent in Bryton's room to camp out. He has slept in his tent every night since they set it up. He told us the other day he will sleep in his tent forever and isn't EVER going to sleep in his bed again :)

We turned Cohen's car seat around this weekend. Cohen isn't a big fan of being in the car, and we are in the car a lot! Hopefully this will keep him a little bit happier.

We have a climber! Bryton never was a climber or risk taker, but Cohen is keeping me on my toes! This crazy boy is into EVERYTHING!

The boys are getting to the point where they love hanging out together. This is what I found this morning as they shared some cheerios in the trampoline. I hope they are always such good little friends!

Car wash time! One of his favorite things to do :)

Chef Bryton making a chocolate pudding pie for Daddy. Check out the pen behind his ear and notepad on the counter. He kept stopping the mixer to "take notes" about what he was doing. He totally cracks me up!

This is where Cohen loves to be! He absolutely loves the train table and we find him in Bryton's room playing ALL the time.
