Thanksgiving at Preschool

Bryton and I had been talking about what he wanted to take for his Thanksgiving feast at preschool and he wanted to take a turkey. He settled on a fruit turkey :) We got up early on the morning of the feast and he helped me get all the fruit together. We got the face made together before I dropped him off.  I came back home and got the feathers made and took it back to surprise him at school. It turned out pretty cute, except it lost an eye on the drive to school...so it was the one eyed turkey by the time we arrived, ha!

All the kids sang their Thanksgiving songs. Bryton gets very nervous in big groups when people are watching him. It was so great to see his smile when he saw that Scott had gotten to be there too! He was happy when it was time to go to his table to eat! He sat with his friends to eat his lunch. We are so thankful to have found a preschool that he enjoys so much!

Halloween 2012

Our week of Halloween was busy! We started it off with a squadron Trick or Treat at Scott's office on Monday afternoon. Cohen didn't want Scott to put him down so he didn't do much trick or treating, but Bryton had a great time. On Wednesday, we had trunk or treating at Bryton's school and Cohen had a fun little party with his playgroup. Finally, we got together for dinner and trick or treating with our neighbors on Halloween night. It was a fun week, but man I was tired!

Halloween Party 2012

A few months back, we decided we would have a little Halloween party with a few friends. On October 27th our little Halloween party included 19 children and 18 adults. Not so little, huh?! It was SO much fun and we all had a blast. The kids were super excited because we got a bounce house for the backyard and they were entertained for hours. Everyone brought fun themed food and we played a few games. The kids played and the adults got to sit and chat...doesn't get much better than that!  After the party was over, I realized I only took 4 pictures the whole day! Here you go...
Crazy boys bouncing the day away!
Taking a break for some food and drinks...it was hot!
Cohen making a hat of the rings from the ring toss game :)
Most of the crew...with the exception of 2 babies and Cohen.

This and That

After reading a lot of fall books about pumpkin pies and baking, Bryton used our pumpkin spice play dough to make his own pie. Pumpkin spice play dough smells SO good!

There is a museum on base that Bryton has been asking to go to for some time. Scott and Bryton had a date to the museum a few weeks ago. They had such a good time. After the museum they went and got ice cream and then went and read books at the library...a perfect day for Bryton. Airplanes, ice cream and books are three of his favorite things!

We spent a day building forts in the living room.
Look at that face...doesn't it look like he is up to no good?!?

Larry's Produce and Impossible Acres

We joined some friends a few weeks ago for a fun little afternoon at Larry's Produce. It is a big produce stand with tons of produce, imagine that! During the fall, they have a huge set up of pumpkins and kids activities of hay bales, corn mazes, and corn pits for them to play in. We went out for them to run off some energy and they loved it.

Cohen was posing in the pumpkins
Bryton, Tate and Macy climbed the hay pyramid.
They have all kinds of old trucks and tractors for the kids to play on.
After soccer a few weeks ago, the boys and I headed to a little farm called Impossible Acres. It is opened every fall with all the baby animals that have been born recently. It was a petting zoo where the boys could handle all the animals...it was perfect! They had the best time and Bryton came home asking why we can't have a baby goat. They had rabbits, kittens, goats, pigs, horses, chickens, alpacas, ducks, and a calf. The baby goats were the favorite, even though one was trying to eat Cohen's shorts :)

They also had pumpkins there and so of course we had to wander around the pumpkin patch too!
Another day hanging out with my favorite boys!

Honey's visit

I am so far behind on the blog, so I am back tracking to make sure I didn't miss anything!

Mom came to visit last month while Scott was gone. It was so nice to have help for a week and of course the boys loved having a playmate other than me! We didn't do anything too exciting, but she got to see our everyday schedules of preschool and therapy. We went to the pumpkin patch and Bryton was excited that Honey took him on the tractor ride. We did lots of hanging out and crafting getting ready for our Halloween party. It is always so nice to have visitors! Can't wait to have you back in January, Mom!

Lots of blocks and Lego time :)
