Beach Picnic

Our neighborhood had it's annual Beach Clean-up Day and Picnic on Saturday. Scott went down and helped clean up the beach. Bryton and I came and joined in on the picnic. Bryton has been struggling with sleep lately, so he slept through most of the picnic. When he finally woke up, he had a great time looking for boats.

I think we'll be spending a lot of time enjoying being down on the water this summer. Bryton loved walking down there and letting the water chase his feet!

Strawberry Fields

Yesterday we went on a little field trip to the berry farm! We met up with a few friends from our FM group to pick strawberries, see the goats, and eat some lunch. All of us have little boys close to the same age, so they always have a really good time together.

Bryton had a blast running through the fields and finding berries!

The goats were his favorite part of the trip!

Friends & Bikes

We had a little playdate at our house after gymnastics today. The boys had fun playing outside and enjoying some sunshine after a few days of being stuck inside. They had to take a little snack break for some yummy cookies!

Bryton has been loving his little "bike" lately. Scott took him and showed him how to go down the hill on our driveway the other night. He pushes it to the top of the hill and puts his feet up to ride it all the way down...now if he would only steer it in the right direction :)

Mother's Day Weekend

We had a laid back Mother's Day weekend. We were supposed to get family pictures taken, but it was really windy so we had to reschedule. We flew kites, planted flowers in our front flower pots, and went to the park after church on Sunday. It was nice just to hang out and be with my boys! (I guess Scott didn't see the sign where it said the playground is designed for 2-5 year olds!)

Bryton loves to slide!

Wedding Bells

One of my best friends from college got married this weekend. Congratulations Bradley & Melissa! Scott, Bryton, Mom, Dana, and I made the drive down to Sulphur Springs, TX to take part in the big day!

Here are the bridesmaids with Melissa (next to me) at rehearsal dinner. We all went to college together at UCA. It was so much fun to get to hang out with the girls again!

Mom and Dana were nice enough to come along to be our personal babysitter so we could take part in the wedding festivities.

Hanging out at the reception

Bryton was a bell ringer in the ceremony. He did a great job walking (running!) down the aisle ringing the bell announcing Melissa's entrance into the sanctuary. Look at those chunky legs in those little knee socks :)

A trip down south

Bryton and I made a trip down to Arkansas last week to have a visit with Mom and Dana for a few days. This was the first plane ride that we had to buy Bryton his own seat, and he loved it!

There was a lot of time for cooking, planting flowers with Honey & Poppy, playing in the dirt piles and playing at the park! Bryton had so much fun just running around and getting dirty.
