March this and that

Bryton had to make a boat for their class science fair project. He used an egg carton and duct tape. Of course, he wanted to add a few Lego guys to be captains of the ship :)

B stood out in the backyard enjoying one of the few days of rain this season. He loves his umbrella that gathers dust majority of the year here in CA!

We made coffee filter umbrellas one rainy afternoon.

We made our own Cat in the Hats on Dr. Seuss' birthday.

Cohen loves to play any sport. He got a new tennis racket and so we have been spending a lot of time outside breaking it in.

Bryton's homework assignment for St. Patrick's Day week was to create a leprechaun trap. He always loves doing this each year!

We went and spent a Saturday afternoon at the Children's Museum in Sacramento.

Skippy John Jones came home from school with Bryton for a weekend. He went everywhere with us. Bryton kept a journal of everything we did and put pictures in it to share with the class. It was a lot of fun!

Our Monday night group of girls got together to do the Neon 5K in early March. It was a lot of fun! We sported our fun skirts and crazy socks. I don't have any after race picture, but we were covered from head to toe in glow paint!!

February Getaway

Until February, Scott and I had never had a night away without our boys. Honey came to California for a few days and we got a night away. We went to Calistoga for a night to enjoy a fun day hiking and a fabulous spa day. It was amazing!
The size of the trees is mind blowing....
Scott left our mark in the woods.
We hiked to the top of a mountain and it was so beautiful. We had to go through some snow to get to the top, but it was definitely worth it to sit at the top to see the views.

Birthday Playdate

Cohen isn't a fan of birthday parties, so we just had a little playdate for him to celebrate his 3rd birthday. We invited his library storytime group of friends over to enjoy lunch and a cupcake. They had a great time like a normal playdate and had the bonus of having a cupcake at the end! It was the perfect way to celebrate C turning 3!
