Christmas at our house

We have been at home over the last few weeks and have enjoyed every minute of it. There have been a lot of lazy days and just gotten to hang out and play. We have gotten a lot of projects accomplished and now can just sit back and wait on our little man to arrive. We hope all of you had a very Merry Christmas and that 2011 brings only fabulous things your way! We are super excited to see what it has in store for us!
Doesn't every 2 year old love to wash his Momma's dishes? Bryton LOVES it....shocking I know!
I am not sure who is enjoying my new steam mop more...

We went to Christmas Eve service and Bryton loved it. He stood on the pew and sang his little heart out. He wanted to know where Baby Jesus was :)

Christmas morning at our house was so much fun! Bryton loved opening the presents, but he liked to stop and play with everything before moving onto the next one.

Legos! His Daddy was super excited about these gifts :)

This week so far...

Happy Birthday Scotty Lew!! We love you and are so happy that we were able to share your special day with you! Bryton loved "helping" to open presents and blow out the candles :)
I love the looks on their faces in this picture...priceless!

Snow Day!

It is a good thing we bought snow boots and a sled yesterday while we were out and about! Bryton brought in a snow ball from his afternoon out in the snow. He wanted to keep it, so I convinced him to let me put it in the freezer until he was ready to take it back outside.

a BIG boy bed!

When Bryton woke up from his nap on Saturday, his Daddy had a surprise for him! His big boy bed was all set up and ready for him to test it out! It has been in the works for the last few weeks, and he has been anxiously awaiting the first night he got to sleep in it. The headboard was my sister's when she was a little girl and Scott built the bed frame and footboard. It turned out great! Bryton is so proud that his Daddy built him a bed :)

Now, we just have to get Cohen's nursery ready!

Santa Claus and Cookies

On Saturday, the community center here in King George put on Breakfast with Santa. We were pretty skeptical of Bryton actually cooperating in sitting with Santa, but we thought we should give it a shot anyway. After doing some crafts and playing some games, we stood in line for over an hour to see how he would react. When we got to the front with only a few more spots to move, the tears began! Luckily, he stopped and did talk to Santa...just from a few feet away. He let Santa know that he needs a new vacuum this year...boy I hope he isn't disappointed on Christmas morning :)

Making cookies with my Mama at Christmas time was one of my favorite things we did together. She always made TONS of cookies, all different kinds...tins upon tins of cookies that we could munch on for what felt like weeks! I have been collecting all our cookie cutters and getting our sprinkles all ready because I knew Bryton would LOVE to help this year. I was right...we had a blast!

Of course, his favorite part came in decorating...do you think anymore sprinkles could fit on that cookie?!?! It took him the whole day to eat it :)

Let the holidays begin!

The Christmas parties have begun! We went to the Mom's Club Christmas party a few days ago. It is so fun to watch Bryton interact with the other kids his age. He is so animated and will talk their ears off!

Over the weekend, we went to find our Christmas tree. Unfortunately, Bryton had an ear ache and wasn't in any mood for pictures.

Bryton was a big helper decorating the tree this year. Of course, he needed his stool to help reach up high! Now he is all ready to open up the presents that Nana and Grandpa brought when they came to visit over the weekend. I didn't get any pictures of their visit, but we were able to mark a few projects off our list while they were here!

Thanksgiving in AR

We headed down to Helena and North Little Rock for the week of Thanksgiving. It was the first time in 2 years that we had all been together and we had a great time. The kids played and we all got to just hang out and enjoy each other's company. Mom had the Inn all decorated for Christmas and we attempted a few pictures, but Bryton wasn't real interested in cooperating. Who could blame him though, the Riley's were there providing loads of entertainment :) I didn't take too many pictures while we were there...but here are a few!

Bryton and Kelsey were BFF while we were there...if only she lived next door!

Always great to spend time with my sister!

Bryton had a blast opening his presents from the Sacco's and Honey and Poppy...I can't wait to see his face on Christmas morning!
