By the time we got to Abilene and into our house, we had about 6 weeks before school started. Two extra weeks of summer from what we were used to in California!
Clearance costumes at Walmart, yes please!
Cohen had his 1/2 birthday on July 27th and it has been a big deal ever since that he is 4 and a 1/2!
Abilene has a Children's Illustrator's Literature Museum and we visited it. The exhibit was on David Shannon from the "No David!" books. They also had crafts set up to do!
We made tie dye shirts!
We went to the zoo.
We visited the splash pad and had picnic/park days multiple times.
We did the Home Depot and Lowes building workshops.
We went bowling at least once a week.
We went to the base pool almost every single day.
