Mother's Day Weekend

Cohen had no interest in me taking his picture, but I snuck a quick one of his sweet creation. I loved his flower pot he painted for me. He was so proud because he asked to put orange on it because he knows it is one of my favorites. Love my shy and sweet boy!
Bryton's class did a presentation for all the moms in the classroom. They sang songs and presented us with a breakfast and gifts they had created. The gift was a folder they had decorated with their handprint and various stories and writing activities. I love hand made gifts from the boys. They are always so proud to give them to me.

The Friday of Mother's Day weekend we hit the road and headed to Fort Bragg, CA for a camping trip. There were a few families from Bryton's cub scout den that were joining us and we had so much fun. It was the first time we had tent camped with the boys. Everyone had a blast!
 We found banana slugs everywhere!
The boys were constantly huddled around something doing an investigation.
Cohen and Scott getting some campfire snuggles. It was cold out there!
Happy Mother's Day to me :)

Our campsite was right by the ocean, so fell asleep listening to the waves. It was so peaceful. They boys all swam even though the water was ice cold.

Hide and seek was the game of choice and Cohen always hid under Scott's truck!

This is Glass Beach down a bit from where we were camping. It was such a beautiful place to visit!
We had to drag these two home. They had such a fun weekend and asked for days when we were going back. It looks like camping will be on our spring, summer and fall to-do list.
