Santa stuff

Cohen wrote a letter to Santa. I helped a bit in the middle when his hand got tired, but he finished it up. When the school year started C didn't have a desire to write at all, so him asking to do any kind of writing makes me so happy! He stuck his letter in the mailbox addressed to Santa and I didn't really think much more about it.
Bryton hung out at the children's Christmas party with me while Cohen and Scott headed home. B and I were there for nearly 6 hours when it was all said and done so we had a few photo opportunities. The perk of being back in the flying world is Santa sitting in the back of the C-130 :)
This gentleman was amazing! He brought toys, really fabulous toys for every single child there. He did it free of charge to our group as he is a retired military man himself.  He has a heart for military children and spent time listening to each child. It took HOURS to get through the line,  but after the last few months our group has had with loss, it made some families smile pretty big.

Cohen didn't see Santa at the children's party due to the line, but look who showed up at a playdate the following week! AMAZING to say the least! Cohen goes to a childcare provider on base every once in awhile and they gathered all the children together for a morning for the special guest to stop by. Again he showered them with love and toys! SO special for the holidays!

Remember the letter C wrote?! He got one back! The city of Abilene post office reponds to all Santa letters! Talk about an excited little boy :) Bryton got a bit bummed he didn't mail his letter this year, ha!
