Our summer didn't go exactly as planned. After Scott had been in the seat of his new job for one week, his squadron was deployed. He received a phone call at 6:30am and was on a plane to leave by 10pm that night. Luckily, we got to meet him at the barber shop (he had to get a quick haircut before they left) to get some hugs before he headed out of town. It was a very weird day to say the least! They were expecting to be gone for just a few weeks,but it turned into being a three month deployment. It was highly unusual for this to happen, so we were constantly waiting for the call that he was on his way home. We were very excited to get that call the second week of September! The boys and I stayed busy traveling to New York and Arkansas, swim lessons, day trips, and lots of time at the park!
